Stonefield Glass | Stained Glass Day

During our stained glass day you’ll learn how to create a stained glass window from scratch.

Our experienced tutor will guide you through every stage of the process.

All tools, materials and a large glass selection is provided, along with a vast array of different patterns to work from.

During the day you’ll learn to cut glass by hand and further shape with our selection of electric glass grinders, how to work with lead came, copper foil and solder and how to finish your work with patinas or cement - don’t worry, all will become clear!

Things to remember

Lunch is not provided, but complimentary hot drinks, biscuits and homemade cake are included.

Please note closed-toe shoes are required. Make sure to bring an extra warm layer in winter, as village halls can be a bit draughty! All venues are wheelchair-accessible, including toilet facilities.

Can I bring my own design?

We provide a large selection of suitable designs that can be made at the workshops. If you have a specific idea, please get in touch at least a week before the workshop to make sure it's suitable, and please be aware that it may have to be adapted to be achievable on the day.

Is the workshop fully accessible?

The Hundred House Village Hall is fully wheelchair-accessible, including bathroom facilities. Please get in touch if you have additional requirements.
